Early Years

This is a poor quality picture but it shows what we believe is the first Camp Shamrock on the site of what’s now the YMCA. The tents were on loan from the British Army!

1978 Left is Mavis Stevenson. On the right, during stunt night, from the front: Wayne Reed (now in New York) Curt Sparks (now in Overland Park, Kansas) Brian Nisbet (who sadly passed away in May 2015) and Perry Jinkerson (now in Starkville, Mississippi).

This photo was taken around 1971. Bert R centre with Easton Vance on the left and Billy Foy on the right. This was during a river walk (obviously when there was not so much emphasis on safety equipment!).
